[UPDATE] "iPad 3G is Here" - so is the Extra Load on AT&T?

Some updates to my earlier post - "iPad 3G is Here" - so is the Extra Load on AT&T?  - here.

It seems the AT&T is getting some help dealing with the expected network load, as well as the hot issue of Net Neutrality (VoIP/Skype vs. Voice).

1. You can’t use Skype on 3G

2. You can’t watch some video streams - see engadget report "iPad 3G's non-WiFi video playback restrictions detailed" - here.

Explnation: "You must include a low quality stream of no more than 64 Kbps for your app to resort to when network conditions demand it, along with the higher quality streams you want to deliver to your customers when the network can support it."

3. Apple has sold 1,000,000 iPads in 28 days - here - compared to the 74 days it took the iPhone to reach the 1M mark.

Gene Munster, analyst at Piper Jaffray, estimates that 300,000 3G units have been sold during the week-end (here).
